My green juice tastes better in my Shrek glass

A few years ago I was really into juicing. I even bought a fancy juicer and a whole bunch of juice recipe books. I was loving it, until the juice cleanse happened. I agreed to do a juice cleanse with a co-worker. It went well, but it turned me way off of green juice. They were just awful. I thought I would be a hater forever. It wasn’t until recently that I decided to give green juice a try again. I’ve been fighting this adrenal problem for quite some time and have been willing to try almost anything. My mom got me a book specifically for adrenal fatigue and low and behold it was essentially a book of green juices. I decided to give it another shot. I’ve only made a few so far, and I can’t say I feel any different, but just like anything else, I know the benefits won’t happen right away. The good news is, I can actually get the juices down without my gag reflex kicked into high gear. My new fav doesn’t even taste greeny at all and doesn’t smell like a lawnmower when you make it. If you’re a green juice beginner, I highly recommend this one!

Beginner Green Juice:

In a high power blender (I use a Vitamix) add:

1 cup fresh pineapple, 1/2 peeled green apple, a 4 inch piece of cucumber, and 1/2 cup of coconut water. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth. Then add 5-6 fresh mint leaves, 3 fresh sage leaves (optional), and 2 handfuls of kale or spinach. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds. Pour over ice and enjoy!

Lauren I use unsweented almond milk now they make one with protein in it. 1 date a bunch of gojo berries, 1 tbl spoon of Chai seeds, 1 tbl of unsweented coconut flakes, 1 scoop of chocolate vegan protein powder a bunch of kale with swiss chard or any greens I have and a small banana. I put it all in vitamix and it’s so smooth yum!
